Only I Know – Set up for failure? (Part 1) Not in this Stable’s mind.

2 years ago, right about this time, I fell in love with the pedigree of a yearling. His name was Only I Know or Norris as he is called off the track.
We were lucky enough to become friends with a breeder that believed in us enough, to sell him to us on a lay away plan, lol. We paid 10k for him. Of course dreams of a future KY Derby horse were joked about.
Then came I’ll Have Another’s win in the S.A. Derby who was sired By Flower Alley, same Sire as Norris and from a mare that on paper was similar to Norris’s dam, Cuz You Never Know.
That was followed up with the most exciting 2 weeks of my life to date with I.H.A. Ky Derby and Preakness wins.
Had I.H.A won the Triple Crown we most likely would have sold him at a 2yr auction and would have gotten 20-1 back, but would have still felt cheated, from taking that chance, going to the dance, chasing that dream.
So here we are today, with that dream still intact. Here is some of the reasons we think we can have some fun and go to the dance like a last seed Team with nothing to lose and everything to gain.
His Dosage numbers wont lie.
